Surviving the Uber Recession

Most people that talk about surviving the recession always talk as if you have $100,000 in your Charles Schwab Brokerage account and can sell off countless stocks to save yourself. In reality, most people that I know are astute homeowners that may or may not have two incomes and are trying to simply make ends meet. So, what to say to these countless numbers of Americans who can no longer make the mortgage payment, car payment, or insurance?

Let’s start at some of the biggest expenses. If you don’t have a job or gainful employment or your spouse/mate has lost a job due to whatever, you MUST reduce the livepage.apple.comhouse note first and foremost. If your note was $3,000 in California for example, it is imperative that you get this reduced in some manner down to $1,500 per month.

One of the other biggest things to do is to strengthen your faith during turbulent times. We should always be faithful and believe in some higher power/God. But, when the bills come and you can’t pay, you MUST believe that things will improve and get better. There are way too many people jumping off of bridges and ending it all. At the end of the day, is it really that unbearable to leave loved ones here while you’re gone? Pray and take action to change it. Change your life sometimes means changing and learning new stuff.

I believe that reducing living expenses and even car expenses is one of the keys to survival. The next key is to find out how to learn new skills WITHOUT paying money to all these so called pop up universities who are trying to also charge you and put you in debt to learn a new skill. One of the most in demand skills that one can learn is given out for free online. Learning Oracle database software and learning how to query Oracle databases via SQL language is a very sought after skill. It doesn’t require you to know a lot about structured programming and it is a GREAT tool to be able to truly harness and learn and re-tool yourself.
